Originally painted with acrylic and sprayed with a high gloss finish.

Using the top end of inkjet printing papers available today from the leading manufacturers in the field. They are predominantly 300gsm or above in weight, most are 100% cotton base, and all are graded as museum quality. You can expect a print life of between 75-150 years.

Artwork Synopsis:

“The Colourful Devil” painting was inspired by a request from a colleague and friend to infuse my artistic interpretation into the image of the Tasmanian Devil. I approached this piece with vibrant colours, notably incorporating blue hues into the black fur. I was pleasantly surprised by the painting’s success and its warm reception among the people of Tasmania. 

It has unofficially been dubbed the ‘LSD Devil’ by fellow Tasmanian artists due to its psychedelic colour scheme; however, I want to clarify that the painting was created entirely sober. 

I submitted this artwork to a competition aimed at featuring local art on bio cups sold in cafés and restaurants across Tasmania. This initiative marked the first edition of bio cups showcasing Tasmanian art. Out of 45 talented local artists who entered, I was honoured to secure first place, thanks to the support of both Tasmanians and tourists voting for my work. As the cups featuring my painting are distributed to more locations, I am thrilled to see ‘The Colourful Devil’ gaining iconic status throughout the state. I am deeply grateful for the support I have received and for the opportunities this painting has provided me as an artist.
