Happy 2nd Birthday - Offbeat Tassie Artist!

I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has supported my artistic journey over the past two years.

Deciding to put my art online in 2023 was a leap of faith, and I am genuinely humbled by the love, encouragement, and kindness I’ve received along the way.

Meeting so many wonderful, supportive people through my artwork has helped me grow not just as an artist but also as a small business.

I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had. Over the past two years, I have had three successful solo exhibitions at The Pear Shed and The ArtHouse New Norfolk, and featured in numerous exhibitions around Tasmania, which has given me the chance to connect with new friends along the way.

I’ve been able to produce products featuring my artwork for stores around Tasmania, and I’m thrilled that my art can be enjoyed in so many places.

I also want to thank Shop Tasmania for helping me with marketing, advertising, and launching my own website.

This year, I started taking my art to markets across Tassie, and finally, I took the plunge and purchased a Salamanca Stall at Salamanca Market with PJ Paintings - Watercolor paintings by Patricia Hopwood-Wade. Waking up at 5 am in winter might be tough, but meeting folks who love Tasmania and art as much as I do makes it all worthwhile.

Beyond the studio, I regularly donate my artwork and art products to charities and medical treatment centres, hoping that the vibrant colours it offers can bring comfort and solace to those in need. Recently donating artwork to the Fire and Emergency Services of Tasmania to say thank you to the professional and volunteer firefighters, sacrificing their time from their loved ones to protect our much-loved wildlife and island home.

To everyone who believed in me, encouraged me, and cheered me on THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

You’ve helped me prove to myself that I can do this, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to many more years of creating, growing, and sharing my love for Tasmania through my art!

With all my love and gratitude,

The Offbeat Tassie Artist
